The Aerospace Players will be presenting the musical Damn Yankees this Summer 2025 at the James Armstrong Theatre, performing six shows with live orchestra: opening night, Friday, July 18, 2025 and closing matinee, Saturday, July 26, 2025.
A Faustian tale meets professional baseball in the Tony Award winning musical Damn Yankees. Based on the novel, The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant by Douglass Wallop, this Broadway musical comedy tells the tale of middle-aged baseball fanatic Joe Boyd, who trades his soul to the Devil (Mr. Applegate). Joe transforms into young baseball sensation Joe Hardy for a chance to lead his favorite team, the Washington Senators, to victory in the pennant race against those dang New York Yankees.
