WEST COUNTY TWISTIES - Saturday, July 19th.
This is a favorite ride and should be doable even on the hottest 🔥 of days due to the twistie, hilly, tree covered roads through Babler and Rockwoods parks.
9:00 a.m. Meet up at the Phillips 66/7-Eleven (roughly the northwest corner of Olive and 141)
9:15 a.m. Rideout instructions
9:30 a.m. KSU
Roundtrip from the Phillips 66 station is 50 miles, with a ride time of 2 hours.
Riders must be able to maintain a top speed of 40 mph (curvy roads are no more than 30 mph, but we'll be on some 45 mph straightaways and a half mile on Hwy 100 which is 55 mph).
Near the completion of the ride, we'll grab an early lunch in the Chesterfield valley.
For anyone on the St. Charles side of the river, meet at the Bike Stop BAKERY at 1312 N. 2nd Street (not to be confused with the Bike Stop CAFE) at 8:15, KSU at 8:30. These riders need to maintain a max speed of 50 mph since we'll cross the river on 370 and take 141 to the official meet-up on Olive Blvd.
