First Wednesday of Each Month from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM

We are excited to announce a free Sensory-Friendly Hour at Magnolia Plantation &
Gardens, designed specifically for individuals with sensory sensitivities and their families.
Join us for a calm and accessible experience in our beautiful gardens.

What to Expect:
• Early Access: Gates open at 8:00 AM, one hour before the general public, allowing for a
peaceful visit.
• Complimentary Admission: Free entry for individuals with sensory sensitivities and one
accompanying family member or companion.
• Wildlife Encounters: Meet a variety of animals at our Wildlife Center, including mammals,
reptiles, and birds of prey. If you prefer that chickens and ducks remain in their enclosure,
please inform us during registration. Note: Goats and peacocks roam freely, and service
dogs are not permitted in the Wildlife Center per state law.
• Narration-Free Nature Train Ride: Enjoy a quiet, optional 30-minute train ride (8:00-9:00
AM) through our diverse ecosystems, where you may spot alligators, birds, and turtles.
• Peaceful Garden Walks: Explore our picturesque gardens, wildlife areas, and river views
at your own pace. To enhance your experience, our horticulture team will pause mowing
during this hour.

Capacity is Limited: Please register early to secure your spot!
Guests are welcome to stay and enjoy the gardens after the Sensory-Friendly Hour
concludes. Please bring a water bottle. A cooler will be on site should guests need a water
refill.
