Enta Omri France | Al-Andalus Choreographic Project 2025
✨ An international artistic and educational experience led by Nesma
The Al-Andalus Choreographic Project, created and directed by Nesma, launches a new international edition with the revival of the show "Enta Omri", a tribute to the legendary Egyptian diva Umm Kulthum, marking the 50th anniversary of her passing.
This new edition will culminate with a performance at the prestigious Festival Arabesques at the Opéra Comédie in Montpellier (France), on 10 September 2025.
It’s a unique opportunity to be part of a high-level production that merges cultures and celebrates the richness of Arab arts.
🎭 This project combines training, artistic creation, and stage performance, offering oriental dance artists a complete experience: technical development, musical analysis, choreographic expression, and live performance with music and costumes.
🔹 Main Objectives:
• 🎓 Comprehensive training: Technique, choreography, music, cultural context, and performance concepts
• 💡 Creative development: A full immersion into the creation of a professional stage show, inspiring future personal productions
• 🌟 Stage experience: Live music, custom-made costumes, and real stage presence
• 🌍 Artistic promotion: To elevate and showcase oriental dance as a high-quality performing art
👤 Who is it for?
Advanced or professional-level oriental dancers with stage experience, and students in professional training programs (such as NATEC) who wish to take part in a collaborative international production.
📅 Project Phases:
1️⃣ Online training (June–August 2025)
• Pre-recorded videos, live online classes every 2 weeks
• Theoretical and musical analysis
• Video submissions required for stage participation
2️⃣ Intensive in-person week in Madrid (31 Aug – 8 Sept)
• Daily classes and rehearsals with live music
• Costume fittings and general rehearsals
3️⃣ Final performance in Montpellier – 10 September 2025
• Part of Festival Arabesques, at the Opéra Comédie
Language
All classes, materials, and communications are in English.
Participants are responsible for ensuring they can follow and fully participate.
