Join the Augusta Museum of History this summer for Hands On History Workshops.
On July 26th we will focus on the signs of Augusta that fill the Museum. AMH Education Manager, Krystal Lyon will take you on a tour of the signs in the galleries and share the history behind the iconic spots. Learn from the Fat Man's font, the creativity of the Bee's Knees and the massive WJBF neon sign. Then local artist A.C. Daniel will teach you how to create a sign for your own home or business. Attendees will pick from a variety of shaped wood boards and A.C. will share techniques and skills to help you paint your unique sign. All brushes, paints, palettes and board will be supplied, you just need to bring your curiosity and creativity.
