Chef Ian Robertson, from Oak Park restaurant on Ingersoll Avenue, will be exploring how to prepare lamb using ingredients sourced right from your backyard. He'll share tips on pairing cuts with homegrown herbs and vegetables and highlight what to grow (and when) for the most flavorful results. Sheep producers Wendy Johnson and Mike Sexton will share how their sheep are raised for tenderness, savory flavor and more.

These presentations are included with Iowa State Fair admission. During the Iowa State Fair, you can join Choose Iowa in The Kitchen at 1 p.m. every day for a presentation featuring Iowa producers and chefs sharing on a variety of topics. The Kitchen can be found between the DNR Building and the Barksdale’s Cookie Stand on Grand Avenue.
