This summer, teenagers have an exciting opportunity to work with esteemed local artist, Karen E. Griffin (KE)!
In Art of the Imagination: Teen Workshop, youth ages 13-18 will learn technique and process from Griffin, using the collection of The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures for inspiration. Participants will create landscapes and portraits utilizing textile materials. All skills welcome!βββββ
Textile artist Karen E. Griffin is a Certified National Storyteller and self-taught, award-winning artist. She creates vibrant two-dimensional abstract works that aim to empower viewers to embrace their unique identities. A selection of Griffinβs work is currently featured in The National Museum of Toys and Miniaturesβ Art of the Imagination case.βββββ
Griffin is the Missouri Arts Council Honoree | 2025 Individual Artist.βββββ
Registration includes all art project supplies, a snack, and lots of FUN!βββββ
Ages: 13-18βββββ
Non-member Cost: $90βββββ
