On Thursday, August 14th, 2025, the Peoria County Genealogical Society will hold its monthly member meeting at the Peoria Public Library North Branch to hear from Jeanine & Thomas Wester. They will present her program entitled: Peoria Architectural Salvage. They will share their discoveries and tales about their experiences in some of the area's oldest homes before they were demolished. They will be joining us in person. Participants may join via Zoom or in person.

Jeanine and Thomas, wife and husband company-owners, are Victorian homeowners and old house enthusiasts. They formed Peoria Architectural Salvage to save irreplaceable materials from entering the landfill and to provide an outlet for the public to purchase these materials. Their hope is that these items will be used to restore other old homes and preserve them for many years to come.

Peoria Architectural Salvage works with private homeowners as well as companies and municipalities to salvage buildings before demolition. If you have a property that you are interested in having salvaged prior to demolition, please contact us for more information.

Free and open to the public.

No registration is needed if you attend in person.
