Building a birdhouse is a fun and rewarding project that can benefit both you and the birds in your own backyard. Join us on July 19th! You will leave with a unique and personalized birdhouse and you will also have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to create a welcoming habitat for our local bird species. Perhaps you will gain a new skill and appreciation for woodworking as well!
Local woodworker Erick has generously offered his supplies and time to guide us through the building process. You will put together the birdhouse pieces and then paint your finished product. Erick is also planning something new for any adults that might want to participate!
Although our workshop is happening later this year, the good news is that there are several bird species out there that have multiple broods or are known to start nesting in late summer. Some examples of these birds in our areas are house finches, black-capped chickadees and barn swallows!
Cost is only $5 and cash payment will be accepted at the workshop. Drop in anytime between 11:00 and 1:00 PM. This event will only happen weather-permitting as pounding nails inside the Hall is very loud!
