LINOPOT at HARATEAS Cafe

LINOPOT, a Borneo heritage food originated from the East Coast of Sabah, staple to the Kadazan, Dusun, Murut and Rungus community.
Linopot is a rice wrapped with wild leaf such as Doringin, Longkobung or Wonian.

Linopot was originally devised to make it easier to carry and consume food during long journeys or fieldwork. The process of wrapping rice and other ingredients in leaves preserves the food and adds a distinctive flavor.

Linopot is usually eaten with either dried, smoked, roast, stew or boiled dishes such as meat, chicken, fish or veggies.
