"Tigre! Tigre!" returns to Keepsake Cidery

The FOX & BEGGAR THEATER presents its eighth feature-length production, "TIGRE! TIGRE!", a new show about humankind's absurd relationship to technological progress.

Our story begins at the dawn of the Scientific Revolution, where a pair of Medieval two-dimensional paper dolls are building the first thing to exist in the next dimension-- a human.

Combining puppetry, traditional clown theater, and a live score influenced by everything from Medieval court music to Gilbert & Sullivan, "TIGRE! TIGRE!" explores humanity's relationship to technology while asking the fundamental question: what drives us to perpetually open new doors that we know we won't be able to close?

We are excited to visit Keepsake once again for our third Fox & Beggar performance at the cidery! Come catch an unticketed performance atop our spectacular mobile theater as part of their Oktoberfest celebration.

"TIGRE! TIGRE!" was partially devised by twelve artists over three weeks at the Acreage in Osceola, WI under the working title of "The Paper Operetta." The project returns in Fall 2025 to tour across Minnesota and Wisconsin, including stops in St. Croix Falls, Stillwater, St. Paul, Minneapolis, Northfield, Viroqua, Eau Claire, Hayward, and Bayfield.
