Join us July 14th at CMC in Edwards for Trans101, a training that focuses on providing attendees with the fundamentals of awareness, language, and experience on ways to support Transgender, non-binary, intersex, Two-Spirit and gender-nonconforming people. Attendees learn about gender expansive terminology and how to support the non-cis members of our communities.
This class provides an introduction to the experiences, challenges, and needs of transgender individuals, while also offering practical tools for becoming effective allies. Topics covered include understanding gender identity and expression, debunking common misconceptions, using inclusive language, and advocating for equality in various social and professional settings. Through discussion, interactive learning, and real-world examples, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how they can show solidarity, create safer environments, and foster respect for transgender people and create kinder more accepting communities.
