Guild of American Papercutters FREE Papercutting Class with instructor Lucy P. Liu

Join this creative, fun-filled, hands-on workshop! Discover how simple cuts and folds can transform a flat sheet of paper into a whimsical piece of art. Come create, relax, and take home your very own handmade paper bunny or panda!

This workshop will explore two parts:

A) Learn about the ancient history of paper-cutting-an art form with over 1,800 years of tradition, deeply rooted in the traditions, philosophy, and storytelling, and explore its beauty, precision,
and meaning.

B) Watch vivid demonstrations of the art of paper-cutting, taught by an experienced instructor Lucy, you'll begin by crafting a delicate 20 bunny or panda artwork-then bring it to a charming 30 paper-cutting artwork.

This class is free to attend thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies to the Guild of American Papercutters.
