SOLD OUT - Make & Take: Traditional Ribbed Baskets at Irvine Nature Center

Join Irvine Nature Center for a Make & Take: Traditional Ribbed Baskets workshop! Suitable for beginners or those with basketry experience we will make ribbed baskets using a mix of natural materials and reed. Each basket will be unique due to the different sizes of natural handles and many color options of reed. The basic frame with the initial ribs attached will be provided. During the class you will learn how to shape a ribbed basket, create patterns with different materials and learn about the process of harvesting natural materials including invasive vines. This event is ideal for ages 14+.
