Herne Bay Jazz: Adrian Hackford & Stephen Bridgland

Adrian Hackford is a violinist and singer who regularly performs with a selection of the most talented musicians on the Kent jazz circuit. Drawing on his long and eclectic musical experience, he puts together a varied and entertaining jazz set that includes bebop, hardbop, latin, western swing, songs from the jazz standards repertoire, and a sprinkling of original compositions.

Stephen Bridgland is a multi-talented guitarist, double bassist, and composer. Winner of the Canterbury Festival Composition Prize, Stephen has performed at Brecon Jazz Festival, Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival and the Canterbury Festival, as well as venues including The 606 Club, The Vortex, and The Royal Festival Hall. With only 10 strings between them.

Adrian's violin and Stephen's guitar have an almost infinite melodic, harmonic and rhythmic space in which to weave their stories, much of it arising spontaneously through the interaction.
