We will be working with our contractor to temporarily shore up the the beams of the house so we can empty the contents for sorting.
While access is still limited as to who can enter the structure, we are asking for help to clear out the items that are in the house. We will be storing items in a container to allow us time to sort through them safely.
Once the house is cleared out, we will be boarding up entry points and tarping it.
This will be the last time it will be open until we can begin restoration.
We will begin Saturday morning at 7am to beat the heat of summer. The plan is to work through out the morning and ending around 12pm or so. We will do the same thing on Sunday. If the weather is not cooperating, or more time is needed, we will work on the house the following weekend.
All volunteers will be required to sign a waiver and strongly encouraged to wear masks and gloves (will be provided).
No items will be removed from property without the approval of the Borough and Historic Committee.
