Join us on September 29 from 6-9 pm for the Poverty Simulation. Check-in and a resource fair begins at 5:30 with the simulation beginning at 6 pm.
The Poverty Simulation is hosted by the UWRF Student Government Association, UWRF Honors Program, UWRF Sustainability Office, Our Neighbors' Place, the United Way of St. Croix Valley, the Pierce County Hunger Prevention Council, and other community partners.
This interactive activity and discussion is designed to help build understanding of the challenges faced by the 1 in 3 households in the St. Croix Valley who live above the Federal Poverty Level, but don't earn enough to meet their basic needs.
Participants and volunteers are needed to make the simulation successful. The event is free, but registration required for participants and volunteers. Visit https://students.uwrf.edu/student-involvement/poverty-simulation to learn more and to register.
