Pride at the Pond

The LGBTQIA++ community and allies are invited to the Green Mountain Audubon Center for an evening that will get out hands in the water and boots in the muck! We'll visit our Beaver Pond and Sherman Hollow Brook with nets, guides, and water tubs to explore the life in each aquatic habitat. We might find Eastern Newts, Dragonfly Nymphs, Green Frogs, Whirligig Beetles, and more!

Meet in the Sugarhouse Field at the picnic tables. From the Sugarhouse Parking lot, head right down the hill towards a large field.

Please wear shoes that are either waterproof or that you don't mind getting muddy or wet. No dogs this time as we don't want to scare off or stress out the animals.

Anyone under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.

Trail information: We will walk about 0.5 miles throughout the event to get from one habitat to the next. We will be standing for the majority of the event. There are no benches at either location, so feel free to bring a seat with you.
