The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra returns Friday, August 1st at 7 PM to southern Maryland's home for the performing arts: the Nancy R. and Norton T. Dodge Performing Arts Center.
Led by conductor Nicholas Hersh and featuring harpist Bridget Kibbey, the program includes Shostakovich’s playful Ballet Suite No. 1, Tailleferre’s sparkling Concertino for Harp, and Dvořák’s folk-infused Czech Suite. Strauss’s sweeping Emperor Waltz brings the concert to a graceful close.
