Lughnassdh Games and Ritual

Lughnassadh is the time of turning from the growing season to the harvest season. The heat of summer is at its most intense and will begin to wane throughout the next few months. This one of our rituals that we celebrate in the Celtic hearth culture pantheon, honoring Lugh, as the ancient Irish Celtic peoples did.
Those interested can arrive Saturday, July 26th, for hanging out and crafting objects for fun. Free camping is available overnight.
Those interested in participating in the Warrior Games should arrive early Sunday afternoon prepared to compete. The Games will consist of 3 events: Throwing a heavy rock for distance, bowling a smaller rock across the meadow at a target, and poetry on demand. Please arrive early on Sunday so we can complete the games in a timely manner and begin ritual at a reasonable time.
Pre-Ritual Briefing will be approximately 4:15 PM and Ritual at approximately 5:00 PM.
Potluck will be held following the ritual for feasting and fellowship. Please bring a dish to share with everyone!
