A TUNA CHRISTMAS Community Theatre Auditions - (Comedy)
Drop-In Mon. Sept 29th & Tues. Sept 30th
Drop in at the Elberton Arts Ctr between 6:00PM-8:00PM either night prepared to read excerpts from the script for Director Bob Larson. Those planning to audition should also be available during most weeknights from early Oct thru mid-Dec 2025. Casting will be done for 2 adult men (who play mutlipe roles each!). Encore is also in need of several backstage dressers for this production!
No experience is necessary to audition! Please note that Encore Productions is a community theatre organization, and all acting roles granted are strictly on a volunteer basis – no paid roles are available.
Performances will be at the Elbert Theatre Sept 19-21 & 26-28, 2025 as part of the Encore Productions Season.
Rehearsals will be held 3 nights a week (usually Mon, Tues & Thurs) from early Oct thru mid-Dec 2025.
Synopsis: In this hilarious sequel to Greater Tuna, it’s Christmas in the third-smallest town in Texas. Radio station OKKK news personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie report on various Yuletide activities, including the hot competition in the annual lawn-display contest. In other news, voracious Joe Bob Lipsey’s production of A Christmas Carol is jeopardized by unpaid electric bills. Many colorful Tuna denizens, some you will recognize from Greater Tuna and some appearing here for the first time, join in the holiday fun. A Tuna Christmas is a total delight for all seasons!
