π΄π Pass Wide and Slow Awareness Ride β Western Australia π΄π
π Sunday, 14th September 2025
π Departs from State Equestrian Centre, Brigadoon
Join us for Western Australia's official Pass Wide and Slow Awareness Ride, part of a global movement that began in the UK to promote road safety for horses and riders. These community-led rides aim to raise awareness of the importance of passing horses wide (at least 2 metres) and slow (no more than 40km/h) on the roads.
This is a peaceful, high-visibility awareness ride β not a protest β and will include ridden horses and horse-drawn vehicles, with support from local authorities and media.
π Pass Wide and Slow rides now span multiple countries including the UK, New Zealand, and Australia, working together to make roads safer for all vulnerable road users.
π‘ Wear yellow/high vis
π Bring awareness signs or flags
πΈ Invite local media or share your photos and videos online
Letβs ride together to support respect, education, and legislative recognition for equestrians on our roads.
