Kids Worm Activity at Charmed Life Farm

Get ready to wiggle into the world of worms! In this hands-on Kids Vermiculture Workshop, children will build their very own mini worm farm and learn how worms turn food scraps into nutrient-rich soil. Perfect for young eco-enthusiasts! We ask each kid to bring in a clear plastic recycled container such as: produce container, tub, tupperware, etc...and some plant based food scraps from breakfast or dinner. As we build a miniature worm ecosystem together using materials brought and provided we will learn about soil ecology and the decomposition process as well as all about the earthworm and how it works to turn your scraps into dirt.

This event is best suited for Kids ages 3 to 12. It lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Parents are welcome to participate and generally have a lot of fun as well.
