Merlot Jones at The Canterbury

Merlot Jones are a 4-piece musical melting pot hailing from the Midland streets of Stourbridge. Their fusion of sound brings together Rock, Funk, Indie and perhaps even a touch of Jazz to put a pep in your step and a tune in your ear. The band balances their musical combinations within tight grooves, well timed drops and impressive guitar lines to craft a unique sound that is steeped in its influences whilst being wholly original in its approach. This eclectic group of lads is sure to have something to entice just about anyone who happens to hear them.

Merlot Jones was first established after a plethora of all-night jam sessions in the early Autumn of 2021. The drummer/vocalist Dave Fisher and guitar-toting Nathan Jones enlisted the help of fellow music man Ollie Burrows and friendly neighbourhood guitarist Brad Smith to form a fully functioning quartet that began alchemising the roots of their individual musical flair.

Originally entertaining guitar-driven instrumental funk and heavy blues, the sound of Merlot Jones has since developed through a mutual passion for the craft transforming into something significantly more tolerable. Now, after even more time in the lab and field, they are raring to spread their melodic gospel to the wider world.

Merlot Jones are one to watch (and hear) as they continue to develop their signature blend of many styles and spices to create crispy, delicious music for the masses.
