Wildflower Field Days: Baraboo Hills from Rocky Forest to Sand Prairie

For our summer Saturday trips, we will go a bit further afield, taking a full day to visit several high quality natural areas. These trips will include extensive hiking, sometimes off-trail or in steep terrain. Be prepared to be outside most of the day with sun and insect protection, and enough food and water for lunch and snacks! REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED no less than 2 days in advance. We will be carpooling. You may drive yourself if you’d like to attend for only a partial day.
We’ll look for late summer flowers, the first blooms of autumn in the forests, woodlands and prairies of the Baraboo Hills and greater Sauk Prairie. Meet at the Middleton Park and Ride (Hwy 12 and Parmenter St) at 7:30am, Returning by 5pm.
