Join ESC naturalists on the first Saturday of the month this summer at Liberty Park, in Renton, for free hands-on science activities. These science stations are designed to give your family a chance to learn together about rotating topics relating to nature. You can even check out a one of our Family Nature Kits to explore for the afternoon! Designed to give explorers of all ages and abilities a more facilitated way to explore outdoors and downtown Renton. Backpacks can be checked out any time after 10:00 AM and returned by 3:00 PM.
This summer's themes include:
June: forest science
July: wildlife science
August: climate change science
There is something for ages 2-12 to learn and explore during this facilitated drop-in science time. Nature Kits are designed for youth in grades K-5, but can be adapted for younger audiences. Scavenger hunts take you to various places downtown including the Renton Library and Renton History Museum. Free, with no registration. Just stop by to participate!
