Bachata is partner dance style that originated in the Dominican Republic in the 1960’s and since then has been through many evolutions and continues to develop to this day. Today, Bachata Sensual is most commonly danced through the world which is a variation that started in Spain.
Being a lead/ follow dance means that one partner (the lead) initiates a movement and the other partner (the follow) completes it. Once this is understood well it can look like a choreographed dance, but it is all decided in the moment which makes dancing it so much fun!
