Oh, Tulsa! Workshop Series: Pop Art Pointilissm Tins with Jessica Woody!

Inspired by Jessica Woody's upcycled art inside Julie Rawding's book "The Upcyclers U.S.A.: 21 Eco Folks Who Made It", this workshop explores the use of collage in Pop Art as renowned pop artists Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein used in their art processes. The emphasis of dots in Pop Art is profound and this class will teach a form of pointillism through a technique of individually applying dimensional paint to create dots that accentuate the collage and add a striking texture to the piece to make it pop! The use of a tin as the "canvas" medium honors the upcycled aspect of this project and pays tribute to American pop artist Andy Warhol's famous Campbell's Soup Cans series of paintings.
