Author Talk & Poetry Reading | Chera Hammons in conversation with Dr Monica Hart

Join us for a conversation with local author and poet Chera Hammons. Chera is a featured HPPR Poet of the Plains, winner of the 2017 PEN Southwest Award for Poetry, and winner of the 2020 Texas Institute of Letters' Helen C. Smith Memorial Award for Best Book of Poetry.

She will be in conversation with Dr Monica Hart, Associate Professor of English at WTAMU. The conversation will end with a brief reading from Chera's newest book of poetry "Salvage List" and a book signing. Copies of Chera's books will be available at the event.
