This event is free and does not require a fishing license. The event starts with a presentation on Aquatic Invasive Species “AIS” covering common invasive species in our area and steps anglers can take to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species while fishing. The AIS presentation will be followed by “Fishing with live bait 101” where we will discuss types of live bait and its use, Introductory fishing skills instruction where we will cover the basic use of fishing equipment and tackle, and a mentored fishing experience. Everything you will need to hit the water for the mentored fishing experience will be provided for you at the event, but supplies are limited so please pre-register for the mentored fishing portion of the event. Unfilled spots for the mentored fishing experience will be first come first serve. No pre-registration is required if you plan use your own equipment during the mentored fishing portion of the event. Anglers of all ages and experience levels are welcome!
