Monday Summer Jazz Concert: Marcos Varela Quartet

Originally from Houston, now in NYC and mentored by Ron Carter, Marcos Varela is highly-skilled on both acoustic and electric bass.

Besides regular performances with heavyweights like The Mingus Big Band, George Cables, ‪and Billy Hart, he leads his own group and has released two highly-regarded albums.
