Playback is an "album tribute" band. We cover classic rock albums from start to finish, and have performed at venues and festivals throughout the country, including the Ambassador, the Set Theatre, All Together Now and the Sugar Club.
Our project "Still Don’t Make No Sense: The Music of Stop Making Sense" features the band playing every song from Talking Heads’ seminal 1984 concert film, including “Psycho Killer”, “Once in a Lifetime” and “This Must Be the Place”. The show also features classic costumes, dance moves and visuals from the film.
So expect an old-school tape recorder, a waltz with a lamp and the biggest suit you’ve ever seen. Whether you’re a casual Talking Heads fan, a diehard who attended all the screenings back in the day, or someone who just likes a good night out of dancing, there really is something for everyone.
