BZI Walking Moai

Happy Monday! On Wednesday July 9th at 7:15PM we are starting our official first Walking Moai! What is a Walking Moai? In the context of Blue Zones, a Moai is a social support group, originally from Okinawa, Japan, that provides a sense of community and belonging. Walking Moais, a program inspired by this concept, are small groups who commit to walking together regularly. These groups aim to promote physical activity, social connection, and exploration of one's community.
We decided to aim for a later time of day and locations that are well shaded to offset the effects of the heat. These will be led by BZI team volunteers Bridgett and Heike and they plan on breaking the group up if needed (think one group for those that walk faster and one for those that like to take it slower). We have wanted to start this for quite some time, sign up in the link
below (with more details listed!)-we look forward to walking with you!
