West Suburban Symphony Orchestra: Soundtracks
First Division Museum Military Park
Saturday, August 2, 7 pm
An evening of hits written for — or featured on — stage and screen, conducted by Maestro Peter Lipari. Selections range from Harry Potter and Shaft music to Borodin’s exotic Polovtsian Dances and Tchaikovsky’s rousing Marche Slav. Rounding out the program are Anderson’s Bugler’s Holiday, Ellington’s Sophisticated Ladies, Bruckner’s Overture in G Minor, and Gliere’s Russian Sailor’s Dance. And we’ll continue our tradition of honoring veterans with a sing-along to the anthems of the U.S. armed forces.
Seating is on the lawn. Folding chairs and/or blankets are recommended.
