Dancing is a tried-and-true way to meet new people and make new friends. You’ll meet folks in class, and learning together is a great way to bond. You will also be learning skills to take to other events from cruises to dance socials.
Ballroom Basics is a six-week session where we focus on two ballroom dances. By the end the goal is for you to feel comfortable dancing a full song in each dance. This is designed for absolute beginners who want to give ballroom dance a try as well as returning dancers who are brushing up on your basics. To reach that goal, along with in-class instruction, you will get handouts of the steps covered and a weekly email with YouTube links to that week’s steps. You will also be learning to lead or follow and starting to work on proper body movement and technique. No partner or previous dance experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn!
Healthy movement and correct basics will set you up to be comfortable at a social dance or be able to move to a competition studio. We cover a total of seven dances in Ballroom Basics, so every six weeks we change to a new pair, expanding your base of knowledge.
The six-week session is $90. To reserve your spot, reach out on Facebook, or email RWxpemFiZXRoIHwgTGF2ZW5kZXJCYWxscm9vbSAhIGNvbQ==.
