Cross-pollinating Disciplines: Lab Work Meets the Natural World

In this talk, Jas from the Lab will share how her background in Medical Laboratory Science unexpectedly led her into the world of pollinators. We will explore how scientific principles such as observation, pattern recognition, diagnostics, and specimen handling are surprisingly transferable across disciplines: whether examining a blood smear or carefully handling delicate species. We will discover how there’s a scientist in everyone and how to encourage others to embrace interdisciplinary curiosity in their own scientific pursuits.
We look forward to learning with you at the Conservation Learning Center!
