Celebrate National Parks & Recreation Month with Bristol Walks
Wednesday, July 9 - 30, 2025 | 5:30 - 6:30 PM

In celebration of National Parks and Recreation Month, the Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth & Community Services (BPRYCS) Department is launching a month-long wellness campaign called Bristol Walks. Bristol Walks is as simple as it sounds. We want to get people outside and walking.

Our goal, to have the community walk 1,000 miles by the end of July.

How to Participate -
Join BPRYCS on hosted Wednesday Walks at a new park each week from 5:30-6:30pm. Participants will receive a free commemorative water bottle while supplies last. In addition to logging our miles we will be socializing and getting to know our neighbors. Each mile walked gets added towards our community goal!

- WEDNESDAY, JULY 9TH - Rockwell Park (includes a celebratory ribbon cutting of the new fitness loop)

- WEDNESDAY, JULY 16TH - Veterans Memorial Boulevard (includes a ribbon cutting of the new walkways)

- WEDNESDAY, JULY 23RD - Pigeon Hill Preserve

- WEDNESDAY, JULY 30TH - Kern Park

Can’t make a Wednesday Walk?
That’s ok, you can still participate. Walk on your own, post a selfie on social media tagging BPRYCS Facebook with the miles walked and be sure to use the hashtag #BristolWalks to contribute your miles to the community goal.

Collectively, we can reach 1,000 miles by the end of July and become healthier individuals while building a healthier Bristol.
