Hosted by: CR (Candy) Green
On 9 July, a second Poetry Series will begin and run for six weeks.
In the first series, we have been exploring all the Senses. In our last session, we will look into the sixth sense and finish on 2 July. We have had 5-7 people attending from all over the city– and even Italy!
Series 2 is called Using Imagery in Poetry. You will have opportunities to write your own poems with a group of encouraging participants as well reading, and analysing great poets from the past and present.
We meet from 2-3.30pm in the dining room around the table and experience laughter and learning. Come join us!
CR (Candy) Green, an American transplant to Aotearos, has experienced life through writing lyrics, short stories, creative non-fiction and poetry. Last year here in Christchurch a chapbook was published by ngapukapukapekapeka press. Her writing has found publishing homes in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia.
There’s no cost to attend, but donations to support Cherish are always warmly appreciated.
No registration required, just show up!
