Join us for a nighttime kayaking and paddleboarding trip on the Colorado River — lit by the Buck Moon and your glowing gear! We'll launch from Willow Beach and paddle toward the famous Emerald Cave, stopping at scenic spots along the way to rest, explore, and enjoy the moonlight.
💡 Important: Bring lights to decorate your kayak or SUP. Let's light up the water!

This event is not suitable for beginners or those unfamiliar with kayaking setup or paddling in low light conditions. Please do not sign up if:
You’ve never kayaked or paddleboarded before
You’ve never set up or used an inflatable kayak
You are afraid of bugs or insects
You are afraid of the dark or dark spaces
You do not know how to swim
✅ If you're still with us... here’s what to expect:
Launch from Willow Beach (we start on time, so please be prompt)
Paddle ~1 hour to a scenic beach stop
Continue ~1 hour to Emerald Cave
Chill and take photos at a nearby beach for 45–60 minutes
Return to Willow Beach Marina
🧳 What to Bring:
$10 for your driver (if carpooling)
Snacks & drinks
Swimsuit/towel
Water shoes
Windbreaker or light jacket
Dry bag
Camera or GoPro
LED safety lights (white/green front, red rear)
Headlamp
Life vest (required by law)
Old towel to dry off your craft
Positive attitude!

Light Air 1–7 OK for newer paddlers
Gentle Breeze 8–12 Some experience needed
Moderate 13–19 Strong paddling skills required
Fresh 20–24 Challenging
Strong 25–31 Not recommended
🧭 Event Overview:
Rental kayaks available: $50–$75 (must request in advance)
Drive time: ~1 hour each way
Weather: 75–85°F, breeze expected
Water Temp: ~55°F
Restrooms & water available at launch site
🚗 Carpooling & Meetup Info:
We’ll organize carpools and leave 10 minutes after the hour.
If you prefer to meet at Willow Beach, be there approximately 1 hour later at the dock between the restrooms and restaurant.
👉 Let me know in advance if you plan to meet us there, or you’ll be marked as a no-show.
