Level 1 Single Rapier Intensive
Optional Dueling Arts International (DAI) Certification
Step into the world of theatrical swordplay with this hands-on stage combat intensive. Led by fight choreographer and Dueling Arts Instructor, Lily Blouin, this workshop blends the precision of classical rapier technique with theatricality and creative performance.
Throughout the workshop, students will:
● Explore the fundamentals of theatrical violence and swordplay including footwork, cuts, thrusts, pairres, and more;
● Practice collaborative storytelling that’s safe, repeatable, and fun; and
● Learn how to bring a fight to life with character, dramatic clarity, and physical storytelling
The workshop will culminate in the study and performance of a fully choreographed fight scene with the option to submit for Dueling Arts International (DAI) Level 1 certification in single Rapier.
Whether you're sharpening your stage combat skills or trying something totally new, this workshop is an invitation to move, collaborate, and connect—all while swinging steel (safely, of course). No experience necessary—just curiosity, creativity, and a little dramatic flair. Take your place in the ring and join us for a
week of storytelling through swordplay!
