H.C. Andersen was one of the world’s greatest storytellers, unafraid to explore life’s darker sides. That courage lives on in today’s Danish artists, who still dare to tell stories of grief, loss, and human complexity. This year marks 150 years since HCA’s death, and we commemorate it with a special talk featuring Anders Walter, director of the Oscar-winning short film Helium. We’ll watch the film and hear about his journey from childhood drawings to international acclaim. The talk, moderated by OFF’s artistic director Birgitte Weinberger, explores the theme of loss – in art and in life – and how stories can offer hope, understanding, and perspective. Supported by “Andersen Forever.”
