The Professional Contest is a Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) sanctioned contest and Southeast BBQ Championship event. Cook teams must compete in the four KCBS meat categories: chicken, pork ribs, pork, and beef brisket.
Total prize money: $15,000
Grand Champion: $2,500
Reserve Grand Champion: $1,000
3rd Overall: $850
4th Overall: $500
5th Overall: $350
1st Place in each category: $800
2nd Place in each category: $600
3rd Place in each category: $400
4th Place in each category: $200
5th Place in each category: $100
