Deaf Awareness Month Expo

The Iota Iota Zeta Chapter will be hosting its First Deaf Awareness Month Expo in the Statesboro, Georgia area. We are excited to bring much needed awareness to the area in hopes of promoting inclusion and equality through education. By immersing ASL with others, we hope to empower the Deaf Community. We hope to attract a diverse group of people to include those who identify as Deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened, and also the hearing individuals within the community. There will be Interpreters on-site to make the event a wonderful experience for all. The event is family friendly and will feature speakers, entertainment, exhibitors showcasing the latest technology and services available to those with hearing loss, and an educational opportunity to learn sign language.
