A Celebration of Monologue John

Monologue John was an absolute legend who was so well known for his incredible knowledge and performances for over 60 years. He had so many people who loved and respected him across the folk circuit, festivals, open mics, the Made By Mortals drama group, the We Shall Overcome family and countless zoom groups which let him share his incredible repertoire internationally too.
He was a gentleman, had a wicked sense of humour and a deeply held morality and love for people that made him so very special.
He was The Station Grandad and he was someone whose friendship meant the world to me and who I loved dearly.
I promised John that when the time came we would celebrate his life with a big event here that would bring us together to share music, spoken word and most of all love.
On Saturday 5th July we will keep that promise and you are invited to come and join us. Darren, John and Carl are helping me to organise the event and we would love as many people as possible to join in or just come and enjoy the evening.
We will be starting early and going live from 7pm to fit as many people in as possible and I know that it will be a very special event for a very special man who was loved far more than he knew.
