The Value of Death Gathering

Do you value death and want to contribute to a movement that values death? Then please join us for a positive and creative day with like-minded folks. We are curious to discover more about what works well and how we might create more opportunities like this in our networks and communities.
We aim to have a morning of generative conversation around how we we can weave our strengths together, and an afternoon of practical and ‘hands-on’ sessions so we can share and celebrate our skills and experience eg shroud-wrapping, writing a haiku, threshold choir and creative visualisation.
This is a day to talk about what’s going right, and how we are valuing death in Scotland.
Who is this event for?
You may be working with people around the time of death, and have an ethos to enable and support people to be involved in their own death as much as they want to be. You may be working or volunteering in your community to raise awareness about the value of death in our lives. You may be exploring the value of death through your creative work.

This first event in Scotland is a collaboration between Pushing Up the Daisies, End of Life Doula UK, Soul Midwives Scotland and the Scottish Independent Celebrants' Association (SICA).
Join us to radically reimagine a better system for death and dying in Scotland grounded in The Lancet Commission on the Value of Death.
