Free Apple Day Saturday 27th of September between 11 am and 3pm
This day promises a wide range of activities to entertain all age groups including: arts and crafts, living history and apple pressing.
We will have a traditional apple press on the front lawn of the villa and Grazed Knee Cider will demonstrate turning apples into juice and describing how to transform the juice into delicious homemade cider. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own apples for pressing and donβt forget a container and we will swap apples for juice. 5kg apples for a litre of fresh juice
This is a free event, bring you apples to be pressed by Grazed Knee Cider from 11am, see the Oyster Girls Morris dancers at 11.30 and 12.15. Take a walk around the Autumn Nature Trail, find out more about living history. We have arts and crafts activities and meet Ceres the Roman Goddess of agriculture and harvest. The Forum Cafe will open for lunch, home made apple cake and scones.
Please note due the the pressing process you may not get juice from the apples your bring. But itβs all fresh and tasty.

Whittling demonstrations providing visitors with the opportunity to learn about their craft and purchase their creations .
From 11am Ceres the Roman Goddess of agriculture and harvest.
The day is a free event and all the family and friends are welcome no admission for the event . The museum will be open from 10.00 and the last entry will be 3.00pm with normal admission prices.
