Craft for Climate- Social Square Stitching
Advertisement
A drop in session to knit or crochet 10cm squares as part of the next Craft for Climate project.
Following the launch event of Knit the Stripes at Bradford Cathedral, we will continue to work on our next installation - three large, crocheted and knitted maps displaying climate risks in the UK to 2050.
Each climate map will need around 200 squares (all yarn will be provided) so there are plenty of opportunities to get
involved. We are planning to display our maps in Bradford and London in 2026.
This workshop is open to anyone who can knit or crochet. We recommend 4,5mm knitting needles/crochet hook, bring your own or we have a supply to use during the workshop.
The session is free to attend, however donations to the project are welcome.
Refreshments will be provided.
