Tonewood is a five-piece, original bluegrass band based in Denver, Colorado. Since their debut show in 2021 they have quickly become a mainstay in the Colorado bluegrass scene. Their high energy original songwriting and vocal harmonies creates a unique blend of new music rooted in traditional bluegrass style that has been captivating audiences all over the state. They have shared the stage with countless local and national acts such as Iron Horse Bluegrass, Pick and Howl and 10th Mountain Division to name a few. Tonewood takes pride in their local musical community which has allowed them to cultivate personal connections with local pickers and music appreciators alike. They recently recorded their debut album that is expected to be released in Winter 2025.

Tonewood consists of members Evan Shely (Guitar) Elijah Donovan (Banjo) Matt Thomas (Bass) George Sepmeier (Mandolin/Fiddle) and Steven Lisi (Cajon/ Vocals)
