Patterns & Palettes in Watercolor with LaCott Fine Art

Interested in the building blocks of Watercolor painting and looking to learn the basics in a fun and exciting way?

In this beginner-friendly class, we will break down the foundational techniques to creating beautiful organic patterns and repetitive brushstrokes of colors. We will focus on a limited color palette of your choosing, using water to create beautiful tonal ranges and exploring the beauty of color transparency and repetition to develop a patterned composition.

Students will explore color mixing and discuss how pattern creation can be applied to create more finished artworks and other design concepts.

Students should bring or "pin" a color palette or color inspiration they would like to emulate.

Students will receive a workbook to follow along with the instructor during the class!
