Wax Poetic ~ Encaustic Workshop

Encaustic art is made using melted beeswax. When combined with collage, you can create a layered, translucent piece of art. Photos and other images peek through the layers, giving a misty magical look.

Instead of a base of paper, we'll use a "cradled board" It's a thick wooden frame, with a flat board attached to the top. This means that once you've created your artwork, it will be ready to hang, giving it a much more finished and professional look.
